It all started so well last week on our first adventure of the season and Graham and myself were both excitedly looking forward to this weeks outing. Things have a habit of not going to plan and this was one instance. I had mapped a route out for our adventure and was constantly watching the weather. The forecast was not too bad and I had messaged Graham to check he was OK with it, knowing full well as extreme biker he would be.
On our adventure “Besties are Back” Graham informed me that he had been having a problem with his back but he was fine to ride. Even though we are Extreme Bikers we still have to look after ourselves not taking any undue risks. I had given little thought to the predicament of Grahams back since our last adventure. Then Wham Bam I received Grahams reply , expecting “ kk pal “ as usual, I was shocked that it actually read ” Gunna have to cancel pal. My back is crippling me. Cant even stand up mate. Gutted” To say I was disappointed was and under statement, my best pal couldn’t make our adventure due to ill health, this has never occured in the 8 years we’ve been exploring, I felt so sorry for him , knowing he would feel awful, firstly not being able to go on an adventure but for thinking he’d let me down too. Well that’s not the case we are a pair like Morecambe & Wise , Laurel & Hardy , Ant & Dec. So I feel his pain just as much as him (maybe not the back pain I’m not stupid). I wished him a speedy recovery and hopefully in a few week we’ll be back on our adventures.
